Martha is a Vice President & Principal Analyst at Forrester that serves CIOs and other tech leaders. She supports business and technology leaders, helping them assess the impact of emerging technologies on their business and systems. During her 30+ year career in technology (first on the enterprise side, then as an analyst), Martha has worked with a broad range of technologies, with data and analytics a key theme throughout. Her main focus area today is the effect of emerging technologies and business pressures on the way BI and analytics capabilities are managed and delivered, and she helps CIOs and their business partners develop data and analytics strategies fit for the digital age. In other current research, Martha analyzes the intersection of new and emerging technologies like IoT, AI and blockchain, and how organizations can leverage these to best effect.

Felipe Thomaz, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford - (Panelist) (Room 207)

Felipe is Associate Professor of Marketing at Said Business School, University of Oxford. His research focuses on empirically modelling marketing strategy issues, with a focus on the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing initiatives in digital domains. Currently, this research is leading to the incorporation of social networks into the understanding of black markets (digital or otherwise) and strategies developed to stunt their growth and proliferation. His research additionally involves questions of social networks’ impact on brand and firm performance, the behavior of consumers in digital marketplaces and interactive marketing channels, as well as the development of managerial metrics that rely on abundant and timely social media data.
